Did you know that Uber merged with Yandex in 2017, offering ride-sharing and food-delivery services in 127 cities throughout Russia, as well as in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia and Kazakhstan?

Uber originally launched in Russia in 2014. The merger was completed in 2018. The new joint company was valued at more than $3.8 billion at the time. By the end of 2018, the company was valued between $4.4 billion and $6.2 billion. Today, Russia is the fourth-largest contributor to ride-sharing app downloads.

Did you know that Pepsi briefly became the sixth largest military in the world?

In the late 1980s. Russia successfully traded 17 submarines, a cruiser, a frigate and a destroyer in exchange for $3 billion worth of Pepsi!

Did you know that 30,000 people lined up around the block during the opening of the first McDonald's in Moscow?

According to Reuters, McDonald’s has over 750 restaurants in Russia, located in 60 regions throughout the vast country. The company’s total investments in Russia exceed $2.5 billion, while average annual growth of investments is around 14%.
